Authoritative Sovereignty & Liberal Oligarchy
08/09/2026
The modern dilemma of the European people pertains to their respective choice between the path of Authoritative Sovereignty or Liberal Oligarchy. The prevailing order has been constructed around the Liberal Oligarchic standard, favoring the international plutocratic class at the expense of the European commoner. Western European countries may remain liberal in regards to individual and minority rights, but have shifted increasingly closer to an oligarchy, rather than the intended purpose of European liberalism rooted in enlightenment era philosophy. Liberalism in this context, can be addressed as a philosophy that has fundamentally outlived its intrinsic purpose. Throughout the continent, political and economic power is concentrated among the elite of the international capital class. In contrast to this Liberal Oligarchic standard, French historian and anthropologist Emmanuel Todd highlights the importance of a new Authoritarian Democracy of the people. The elevated rates of social dissatisfaction and national instability in contemporary Europe further directs us to the inevitable conclusion that the sovereignty of peoples and their enshrined interests must be codified through authoritative governance.

The dissatisfaction of Europeans to the current liberal status quo is evermore clear through the rise of alternative parties. From the modern failures of the Tories and Labour in the United Kingdom, to post-Soviet Russia’s strife in the 90s, this century marks a time of historic mistrust. This mistrust can and has often been exacerbated by misinformation. Nonetheless, what we can decipher is a clear motif from the evidently rootless plutocratic class to perpetually enact policies at their whim, to the dissatisfaction of the European masses. Since the influence of the oligarchs shrank from a majority of Russia’s governance to less than a plurality, behind the military-intelligence siloviks, Russia has experienced more autarky and development. Russia has now achieved Portuguese and Spanish living standards despite being at Yemen levels of economic development at the start of the century. All Europeans are entitled to this level of shift in governance towards what they believe is an acceptable threshold. Where the pronounced majority of discontent exists is primarily with the immigration systems of European nations enslaved to multi-national institutions of the liberal status quo. The rise of parties such as AfD (Alternative for Germany) and their victories, such as in Saxony-Anhalt (06/09/2026), is to be expected. To fraternalize the nation, to ultimately lay the groundwork for the commonality in identity of both men and women, is foundational to the political and social fabric of all European peoples. It is perhaps time those of established wealth, often hereditary in nature, understand this facet of reality.
