The harmony of a Pan-European movement is measured best by its ability to resonate with the hearts and minds of the common folk. The European Union’s bureaucracy is messy at the current, but this intrinsic fact shouldn’t sway the masses away from incrementally shifting the political window towards a new threshold of expectations of our collective representatives. The three main groups inclined to the interests of a sovereign Europe: Patriots for Europe, the European Conservatives and Reformists, and Europe of Sovereign Nations, should stand together in real solidarity. They emphasize the national interests of the people, reject the endless centralisation of the current EU system, and refuse to let Brussels override domestic decisions at every unjustified turn. Closer coordination would give this grand-coalition the strength to push back against a status quo that drains sovereignty and burdens ordinary citizens with rules made far from home. A united front could also shape a foreign policy that serves European nations rather than the current state of marching to the tune of Washington and Tel Aviv’s choir. Endless NATO escalation and talk of perpetual conflict only raise risks and costs amongst the masses. These groups can offer a clearer path of strong defence of borders and interests, without being dragged into quarrels. Independence from U.S. priorities would let Europe focus on its own security and respective prosperity.

Italy has sustained a similar coalition, in ideological nature, through a common sense understanding of adjacent interests. Lega in the Patriots and Brothers of Italy in the Conservatives and Reformists share a government and the same preference for national control. Tighter links in Parliament would help them resist further EU overreach and keep foreign decisions grounded in Italian needs. France offers another adjacent natural pairing. The National Rally with the Patriots and Reconquête with Europe of Sovereign Nations both prioritise French sovereignty and cultural continuity. Joint efforts could rally behind a foreign policy that avoids costly adventures and puts Paris’s interests above external agendas. In Czechia, ANO from the Patriots and Freedom and Direct Democracy from Europe of Sovereign Nations both question the heavy hand of Brussels, in both the realms of finance and culture. Working more closely as brotherly parties would strengthen their position against policies that refuse to acknowledge national realities and leave countries exposed to conflicts. Hungary presents a similar chance. Fidesz in the Patriots and Our Homeland Movement in Europe of Sovereign Nations both defend Hungarian independence. Amongst the English, Reform and Restore share a commonality in stature and political interests.

Coordinated action would assist in the promotion of a Europe of sovereign nations that sets its own course rather than trailing behind others. Poland’s conservatives in the Conservatives and Reformists and the more staunchly sovereignist voices linked to the other two groups share a deep suspicion of external pressures. Bridging those differences would ratify a stronger Polish stance that values peace and self-reliance over constant confrontation of fellow Slavic peoples in Russia. This conception of conflict with Russia is one that should not entertain the European spirit and mind, as in-fighting between foundationally European civilizations ultimately serves little purpose to contemporary Europeans. By expanding these practical coalitions across Europe, the groups can defend national interests without apology. They can reject the current EU’s drive for ever more power while building a foreign policy free from outside direction and coercion. Unity in this contextual discussion is about protecting the nations that elected the bureaucrats of Europe, not filling the bellies of squabbling delegates in Brussels with cash. The continent of Europe is not what it once was, the Union is filled with undriven and self-interested political actors. The best choice for Europeans would be to push for the election of stronger representatives, those that are ideologically aligned with the sovereignty of Europe. We can collectively mitigate the evidently harmful interests and policies of the ruling plutocrats if we engage honestly with the nuances and contrivances of European politics, while fighting the endless political and philosophical battle to its inevitable conclusion with us as the clear victor.
